Press Release Summary = How one woman single-handedly set out to tell the world
about the link between Valentine's Day, infidelity and extramarital affairs.

Press Release Body = If you're wondering why there are so many news stories about
Valentine's Day infidelity this year, infidelity expert Ruth Houston can tell you
why. They're a testament to the success of her annual Valentine's Day Infidelity
Awareness Campaign; the purpose of which is to alert infidelity victims that this is
the best time of year to catch a cheating mate. Even USA Today commented on the
recent trend towards stories about cheating Valentines, citing 3 of the many
articles in which Ruth Houston was either featured or quoted. (Time for the Super
Bowl of Surveillance)

Houston, the New York-based founder of InfidelityAdvice.com and author of Is He
Cheating on You? - 829 Telltale Signs, has single-handedly spearheaded a campaign to
heighten public awareness of the connection between infidelity and Valentine's Day;
and in the process, expose cheating Valentines everywhere. The campaign is now in
its fourth year.

Infidelity Reaches a Peak Around Valentine's Day

Says Houston, "Most people aren't aware of the link between infidelity and
Valentine's Day. We think of Valentine's Day as a lover's holiday --the most
romantic day of the year. But that's hardly the case if the romance is taking place
between your partner and someone else. Infidelity doesn't take a back seat on
Valentine's Day. In fact, this is the time of year when infidelity and extramarital
affairs reach their peak. All over the world, cheaters will either be giving or
receiving Valentine's Day gifts; which makes it the ideal time to catch a cheating
mate."

A Seldom-Discussed Side of Valentine's Day

"This is a very real side of Valentine's Day that no one talks about." says Houston.
"Despite the fact that it affects millions of people everywhere. Based on current
statistics, between 50% and 70% of Americans are victims of infidelity. When you
factor in emotional infidelity, cyber infidelity, same-sex infidelity and female
infidelity, the figure is closer to 85%. Most infidelity victims have no idea their
partner is having an outside affair. Others who suspect infidelity, may have been
frustrated in their attempts to get proof, thus far. They can all benefit by
familiarizing themselves with the signs of infidelity that typically appear around
Valentine's Day."

Incriminating Valentine's Day Gifts

According to the National Retail Federation, Americans will spend close to $17
billion on Valentine\'s gifts this year. Houston points out, "A significant portion
of that money will be spent by cheaters buying gifts for their secret lovers. These
gifts, most of which will be delivered in person, can prove to be the cheaters'
undoing. But knowing what to look for is the key."

NOTE: Houston's book Is He Cheating on You? - 829 Telltale Signs ($29, Lifestyle
Publications), contains an entire chapter on gift-related signs of infidelity.

Houston says "Infidelity victims who want or need proof of an illicit affair can
take advantage of this situation. It's a lot easier to catch a cheater around
Valentine's Day. Private investigators who specialize in infidelity investigations
will tell you this is their busiest time of the year. It's one of the few times that
I recommend using a private investigator to catch a cheating mate."

How the Campaign Got Its Start

Houston began her Valentine's Day Infidelity Awareness Campaign 4 years ago.
During the course of her ongoing infidelity research, she discovered that very
little had been written about the link between Valentine's Day and infidelity.

A journalist herself, with a background in public relations, Houston approached the
media with this unorthodox idea: "Instead of your usual Valentine's Day coverage
about gifts to buy and romantic things to do, why not do a story, sidebar or segment
about the side of Valentine's Day no one talks about? Since 50% to 70% of your
readers, listeners, or viewers are likely to be victims of infidelity, they'll
appreciate this information." Houston says many of them rose to the challenge.
More are doing so each year.

The Campaign Gathers Momentum

Houston's Valentine's Day Infidelity Awareness Campaign gathers momentum with each
passing year. "Four years ago, practically no one was writing about Valentine's Day
and infidelity." says Houston, " Now more and more stories appear each year." Last
year's campaign resulted in media coverage as far away as South Africa, Bahrain,
Turkey, India, France, China, Qatar, Viet Nam, Beirut, Pakistan, Canada, and the
United Kingdom, in addition to all across the United States.

A New Theme Each Year

Each year Houston chooses a different theme for her Valentine's Day Infidelity
Awareness Campaign. Since the workplace now ties with the internet as the #1 place
where cheaters find partners for their extramarital affairs, the 2007 theme is
"Valentine's Day Signs of a Workplace Affair."

Says Houston, "This year's theme turned out to be right on target, since workplace
romance and office affairs have been the subject of recent news. The arrest of NASA
astronaut Lisa Nowak and the public apology from San Francisco Mayor Newsom for
having an affair with his campaign manager's wife are still fresh in everyone's
mind."

Previous year's themes include:

. Is Your Valentine the Cheating Kind? (2004) - Houston designed a 7-question quiz
so women could rate their mate by his background, history, and character traits to
see if they were married to, or dating a potential cheater.
. How Valentine's Day Gifts Can Expose a Cheating Husband (2005) - Houston discussed
how cheating husbands can be exposed by the Valentine's Day gifts they give.
. Valentine's Day is the Best Time to Catch a Cheating Mate ( 2006) - the theme
which generated the most extensive coverage thus far. Houston revealed how and
where to find proof of infidelity on the most romantic day of the year.

Still Time to Cover the Aftermath of Valentine's Day Infidelity

This year, as in years past, Houston sent wire services and major media outlets a
deluge of news releases containing story or segment ideas related to the Valentine's
Day Infidelity Awareness Campaign. Her efforts have resulted in very generous
coverage in print, broadcast, and online media in the days leading up to Valentine's
Day. Houston says "Already I've done more than 5 times the number of radio and TV
interviews compared to last year."

"Hopefully there'll be even more coverage on Valentine's Day." says Houston. "But
it's still not too late to blow the whistle on cheating Valentines. The media still
have an opportunity to write, talk or blog about the gift-related signs of
infidelity that appear after Valentine's Day. Houston's news release entitled "9
Signs of Infidelity That Typically Appear AFTER Valentine's Day" has already been
faxed and snail-mailed to media outlets, and distributed online. The release is
also posted in the Press Room of Houston's website at www.InfidelityAdvice.com

I'd love to see at least one media outlet in every city or town cover some aspect
of Valentine's Day infidelity this year." Houston says. "My goal is to strike fear
in the hearts of the millions of cheaters everywhere." She explains, "Having been a
victim of infidelity myself 14 years ago, I'd like to see all those cheaters out
there become very, very afraid."
